Which current motherboards will support Kentsfield? What about the upcomming 45nm chips?

Mostly all that support Conroe right now. They are just going to get a BIOS update to support it.

Not true with 90% of the boards. For example, the DS3 needs a new PCB rev, because it won't support the Kentsfield. The DS3 now might be supported by Kentsfield, they said by mid October. As for 45nm, that's a year off, and I'm sure you will have upgraded your board by then.

Hmmmm..well the DS3 already supports the Kentsfield actually. I just got a BIOS update that let me do so.

all the gigabyte boards should supposrt it with a bios update , but only the dsq6 will support it out of the box ,
