Building Intel powered silent PC - Need help building

Thread Starter
I've got Motherboard, Processor, Graphics, and hard drives picked out already. I have also got a water cooling solution for the cpu and gpu picked out.

What I need help with is the case, good silent fans, and a very quiet quality power supply. I have plenty of budget left for these items so price, within reason, is not an issue. Silence is the goal here.

I appreciate any help in advance.

Here is photo of build so far.

Corsair 550D has sound deafening foam all over it, but I'm not sure about its included fans. Would replace those with Noctuas or something. As for the PSU, what wattages are you looking for?

Only problem I see with the 550D is I'm not sure where the Radiator would fit inside that case but I love how padded that is. Is there any case that is larger but with all that padding or has anyone used the 550D with the RX360 radiator and has pictures of how it fit in that case?

You could lightly mod a Fractal Design Arc Midi to take a 360mm rad. Comes with pretty quiet fans, too, but if you had to pick out new ones, can't go wrong with NoiseBlockers, or if you don't care about how ugly they are, Noctuas.

I like the simplistic look of that Fractal Design case but It seems a bit tight in there. I've got the room for a full case so if I can find one that is good looking and can keep quiet then I'd rather have a full case.

I would suggest seasonics x series for psu, there are 400 and 460watt fanless ones and if you need more wattage the others are very quite as well.

Still have not made a case decision. Any more suggestions?

Hmmm... the Fractal Design Define R3 is an awesome silent case, but probably still too small for you.

I think you'll have trouble finding a quiet, full-ATX case. The Define R3 has plenty of room for the hardware you're putting in there. Small cases have better airflow anyway, and therefore less need for more fans.

EDIT: Maybe a Silverstone Fortress FT02?
