Yea, because companies aren't made of humans, they are robots who never make mistakes. This type of thinking sickens me. There is a difference between a company not taking care of their customers and fixing a mistake. The earbuds are more than enough, they don't have to honor anything.

Furthermore everyone knew it was a mistake they were trying to take advantage of. Makes anyone truly offended by the sellers refusal to ship an item... kinda the scammer them self eh?

No, they really shouldn't. Companies aren't bound to honor the price-as-listed if it's a blatant mistake. This was a case of a mis-matched UPC - this wasn't some derpy employee who punched the numbers in wrong. We're talking about a $250 discrepancy, for God's sake, and the mistake was caught well before any of the products even shipped. There are laws against false-advertising that protect the consumer, but an obvious misprint in price isn't covered by those laws. If you see a $2,500 TV listed at Best Buy, and some college-kid employee has come along and accidentally ripped the two 0's off the edge of the price tag, you aren't going to get the TV for 25 bucks.

Also, if this is really a matter of "principle" for you, then you have some pretty bizarre principles. You think it's morally just to demand that this company essentially give you $200 because of an honest mistake? I ordered one of those $15 mobos too, but I'm not deluding myself. If I'd gotten the product for that price, I would have been ripping off that company. Even if they brought it upon themselves, that doesn't give us the moral high ground.

I even told them not to bother with the earbuds/head phones but that I appreciated the gesture

ehh, I chatted with them a bit this morning... Here's the thick of it:

The Price was a "UPC MisMatch". What this means is that they put up a item that the Amazon directory knew as a 990fxa-ud7. In all reality it was for something else. The thickest part of it, is that they don't have 990fxa-ud7's to sell. They Offered to sell us a Motherboard for $260 free shipping because that's what they could buy and have it shipped to us from TigerDirect.

Its a simple mishap, it happens... I'm not saying I'm above taking advantage of a Mistake / Deal like this could have been, but the reality is that they simply don't have the item to offer and they are doing their part to maintain good faith. That's good business.

Like we all knew from the get go, It would have been cool.

All is well that ends well.

I think this should be mentioned to those who were offered to buy MB at full price.

I just got the free headphones today, they are these ones, if anyone was wondering
http://www.amazon.com/Lift-Audio-Micro-Series-Noise-Isolating/dp/B004I5BPYI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1334352438&sr=8-2

Of course I already have 3 pairs of earbuds and 5 pairs of circumaural headphones but can't argue with free stuff thumb.gif

Glad to know. I almost feel bad accepting the headphones just because I knew I wasn't going to get a mobo, so I would have been screwing over an honest company, and even still, I'm getting something free from them.

I'll probably just give them away on here or something. I don't really need a pair of ear buds anyway, plus, I'm more in the market for something a little more similar to a $20-30 pair.
