This logic would be correct, but if its a 10/100 switch or lower trying to send out new chunks to dozens of people. Consider how many other servers could be on the same switch too. Its unlikely but worth checking.

Be a minor increase to all servers NOT on the RAM disk, which would mutually lag as much as they do now anyway. 2.) Have literally no impact on raw CPU performance, which is another issue we should tackle. We could potentially use funds that WOULD have been spent on an absurdly expensive memory kit elsewhere.
So what's a better goal for the servers?
I, personally, would rather have a balanced performance increase that is static and predictable, rather than the increase provided by the RAM disk onto one server, where it will literally be temporary, as we will quickly run out of room.

My recommendation wasn't based on solely on Jach's opinion. I have personal experience with a MC server benefiting from a simple RD install. The only reason I mentioned Jach's RD implementation was because it stands to free up additional resources. Much like our good friend Kyad it seems your posts are seemingly consisting more of your personal opinion and lack of actual experience..
