Edit: Mind if I sit in on this one in the mumble? Might learn something.
My recommendation wasn't based on solely on Jach's opinion. I have personal experience with a MC server benefiting from a simple RD install. The only reason I mentioned Jach's RD implementation was because it stands to free up additional resources. Much like our good friend Kyad it seems your posts are seemingly consisting more of your personal opinion and lack of actual experience..

Hey man I only work on PxE and Samba servers every day for my job, what the hell do I know (/sarcasm)
I've lost lots of data from backups not being regulated well enough on RDs, not to mention, as Kyad said in the mumble last night, all the backups would be going to the HDDs every few minutes, which renders almost all advantage moot. Jach agreed with this point.
Also, setting up a ramdisk is a far more complicated process than setting up an SSD. (One is plug and play one is not)
And finally, I dare you to put important data on a ramdisk and kill the power/restart the machine. Do it you won't do it
you'll lose it all, hence "Less stable" simply because, that crap doesn't happen on SSDs and HDDs.
But hey, we don't know what we're talking about at all, just you mate
