You should check and make sure your CPU paste is done properly. Or that you're using good paste. (watch some youtube vids on doing the paste)

I do know how to apply thermal paste. And I've already reseated it once.

My ambient temps are ~25 and as I've mentioned earlier I have a horrible airflow in my case.

I might be taking off the ultra low noise adapters to get more air movement onto the cpu.

Thanks! I'll take a look in there wink.gif

But still I live in Denmark, so I guess I have to be quite lucky not to pay a very expensive shipment wink.gif

EDIT: I've been looking at the Swiftech Apogee XT, which is quite cheap compared to other WC items.

Is that cooler doing it's job properly?

I've read that it should be an okay cpu block

When it came out, it was the "cream of the crop," so to speak. I'm actually running one right now in my CPU-only loop.

They are a bit more restrictive than the newer blocks, but you can get them for pretty cheap so it makes it worth while, plus they are very effective coolers.

I modded the inside of my XT for better flow and it dropped the cpu temps about 8c under full load.

Me as well!

Is this the mod where they removed a seal inside, or something like that?

EDIT:
Nevermind, found your thead! smile.gif

Ah looks like you had a water chilller, so it's probably safe to assume that we wouldn't see as dramatic of changes in temperature, correct?

It will help if your water isn't passing through the system fast enough. The block was restricting the flow and letting my 3 480's heat it up faster than the Rad could cool the water. Once I modded it, worked so much better. It will not hurt thats for sure.
