Xonar Essence STX and turning on the PC problems

Well, this is a bit strange, but since I installed my new Essence STX soundcard, I'm having problems to turn my PC on. But the strange part of it, is that it only happens if it's the first power on after I turn on the switch of the socket bank. After that I can turn the PC as many times as I want without problems.
In detail, the PC turns on and then goes off in a just a second, without any kind of beep. Every led turns on, the fans start to spin and then all stops and I can't turn the PC on for some seconds.

Any idea?

Btw, the clicking noise from the soundcard when you turn on or off the PC is normal?

The clicking noise is normal, the card uses relays as switches which always click on as you power up. If you take the Essence out does it return to normal? And have you tried it in a different slot?

I've been testing it further and I'm starting to think that it's not related to the Sound card. It's the way that this motherboard changes the BIOS settings, I did forgot the no so old days when I got the mobo and it started to restart itself lots of times, making me think that it was a faulty board when it was just testing the automatic overclocking I did turn on.

I'll try some more things and if I keep having problems, I'll open a topic in the appropriate forum section. smile.gif

Thanks for the help!
