Tethering Question: ATT Samsung Captivate - Page 2

The method cyanogenmod uses is not detected by Att as tethering data. The ways I know of on stock software can be I believe. They probably won't care as long as you don't consume much data, but if they do they will add the tethering package to your plan automatically.

You'll have to read up on it, but my understanding is that if you use cm7 and don't go overboard, you're fine. That is what I do, and what I would recommend.

Awesome! I'm heading over to XDA!

Ya, I only plan on using it every so often and when I do it will only be for a short period of time. I travel quite often and these Hotel wifi rates are ridiculous. My last stay was in the Hilton in Chicago. 20.00 a night for wifi...

Thanks again!
