Overclocking AMD Phenom II x6 1100T

Thread Starter
Hey guys I really want to overclock my system, i want to get it to around @4.0GHz. I heard that its easier than it looks. Couple of people insisted I set my CPU V Core at 1.45 volts and my CPU Ratio at x20 and it should be okay. I thought I should get some feed back and learn a little more extra about OCing. Thanks I really appreciated it. BTW in my sig for my pc specs it says I have 16Gb of Vengeance Ram I only have 8Gb now because 2 of stick were faulty. Just wanted to get that out there. Thanks.

The best way to learn and understand is to use a Phenom II OC tutorial. Otherwise you could get very lost and deeply frustrated. Keep in mind that every CPU/mobo/RAM cobo will OC differently as overclocking by definition is an attempt to run the hardware beyond it's designated operating speed. Enjoy thumb.gif

you can up the voltage up to 1.32 or 1.34 and get it to 4ghz pretty easy on low voltages338

It's not unlikely that you'll require 1.450v+ to move past the 4ghz mark.

You want your northbridge frequency in the 2800mhz range, and probably will have to bump up your CPU NB VID to around 1.300v.

For 2880mhz, He might be able to get away with at least 1.25v, any less voltage or heat really helps and gives you extra head room.
