X800GTO2: Overcloking Temperature - Page 2

Hey, now that I am looking at the Zalman Site, the VF700 - Cu does not seem compatible with the X800GTO2. Not every X800 card seem to be supported: here is the list of the compatible cards: http://www.zalman.co.kr/product/cool...elist_eng.html

Well, I have to say it is not on the unsupported list either.. I suppose they didn't put it cause it's a limited version... so i'll trust you

I've taken a look at the prices and the VF900cu only costs 5euros more than the VF700. I've read the features and the VF900 is lighter, smaller, has a lower max speed and a lower max noise level. It also says that the VF700 has 2 speed controllers while the VF900 has "Fan Mate 2". Does this mean that the speed cannot be controlled?

Anyway, they look very similar so I guess I'll go for the VF700 as it cost less.

Don't worry about it fitting as I will bet my left testicle it will.Or you could put on and Arctic cooling ATI silencer 5 revision 2, it will also fit.The zalman I have didn't come with fan controller just 3volt or 6volt connector. The zalman will probably keep it cooler than the other one with good case flow.My card was going to 80 deg c. with stock and zalman hasn't hit 50 yet with oc core at 520.stock core for my card is 425!!.I can rest assured playing games it won't get too hot and therefore last longer with the oc.I plan on buying an 850 xt after christmas and will be putting the zalman on it and see temp differences from stock.
