most of the cases that has this tools less lock option only lock in in the holes that are below the hardware. Fot example: Dvd drive has four holes to on ench side two on top and two in bottom the tools less lock only use those two below so almost any 5" 25 bay that has short length like most of fan controller you will need to use screws to hold it in place I have corsair 800d with tools less lock with FC5 and I had to use screws instead. PS: That's not a fan controller problem is the short length hardware like all fan controller in the market
