As for slow multitasking, i was refering to how windows sometimes slow down with third party apps. If you haven't experienced it then good for you. But many reviews and feedback I've seen online have suggested such. Maybe after you've used the phone more and have more third party apps you'd experience the same, or maybe not, I can't know for sure. In addition, the burden's not on me to proof anything. People were thinking of picking up this phone. I was merely suggesting that this phone isn't perfect and have drawbacks. I already have a nokia and am happy with my phone. The burden's on the people who are looking to buy the phone to do their due diligence.
Btw how do you put your computer info in your posts like you guys?

By your logic, I can just claim that the iPhone 4S will melt your skin and if someone asks me to prove it or provide a source I can just reply that they are lazy for not verifying my statements on their own. Not to mention you even stated that you had sources and just didn't provide them.

I listened to some music off of it hooked up to my car stereo and it sounded just as good as my iPod classic 160gig and Zune 80gig.

Phone call quality is very good but I think you're at the mercy of the connected persons phone quality too but so far I've found the quality to be very good. Speakerphone is also excellent.

Also, every platform has some issues. I'm thinking that you are blowing any issues that may be mentioned way out of proportion.

I think personally, iOS' biggest advantage is near-ubiquity and being the oldest still-relevant smartphone platform on the market..... its also got a large amount of First of Mind Awareness in consumers and the fact that Apple's brand carries a lot of clout to consumers because of the success of iTunes and iPods

I think it also benefits from the fact that many consumers might be already tied into that "Apple Ecosystem" because its highly likely they have a Mac, or use iTunes for their music already, and the iPhone happens to integrate very well into that "ecosystem"

I can say this that my largest reason for NOT going Android was simply being tied into that ecosystem because I've used iTunes for years and i have some Protected AAC files... I am now finally breaking out of the Apple Ecosystem I've been tied to since... When did iTunes come to Windows?

Apple also spends a bit more on advertising their products, and they make things a lot more -simple- for a consumer, Android devices, because none of the Android manufacturers have the same level of pull Apple does, have to bow to the carrier's naming schemes, which results in the same bloody phone being called 10 different things depending on who is selling it, it also results in some utterly dumb sounding word salad names (Some are pretty cool though..) Apple on the other hand has simply the iPhone, You can buy an iPhone 4 or a 4S, it doesnt matter what carrier, its the same bloody name, and the same bloody phone... You go to get a Samsung or an HTC however and you'll be introduced to a cornucopia of names for what is basically the same phone depending on who is selling it... which actually causes confusion to consumers...

HTC is trying to remedy it with the One series of smartphones, where you have One V, One S and One X, Only time will tell if this works, but so far every carrier seems to be keeping the One X and One X names (Except Sprint, but i actually understand it, the original EVO was a heck of a phone and that name carries weight for Sprint customers, And the phone isnt a 100% carbon copy of the One X.. so its understandable, But still, maybe EVO ONE or EVO X would be better than EVO 4G LTE) Samsung is trying with the Galaxy S series as well... So again, This seems to be getting remedied...

As for Microsoft, I think they have a hard road ahead of them, Microsoft is a large company true, but its not Apple, Very different corporate strategies historically, Microsoft is trying to play Apples game and historically, that hasnt worked out so well for them (Ahem, Zune?) but I do like what they've done with Win Phone 7, I think theyve got an excellent OS on their hands for people who do want something that simply -works- and dont need all the bells and whistles of iOS or Android and by targeting the cheap market first it could allow them to gain marketshare.... most of the Android phones in the same price bracket as the Lumia arent really any better in terms of specs anyways and right now the Windows Phone OS shines on these devices...

I'd say one thing for Microsoft to do is to go for Blackberry's throat, Give Win Phone 7 enterprise-level security and integration with the Windows environment that most corporations and etc use and you can strike Blackberry where it hurts I'd wager... The low price of devices would appeal to large corporate entities as well..and the fact Microsoft is a "trusted" name in business should make this an easy sell.... Heck, Perhaps Microsoft should consider an acquisition of RIM at this point, Acquire their assets and whats left of them and integrate their BBM and stuff into the Win Phone ecosystem... also make it an easy migration path for Enterprise customers who already use Blackberry....
Great post. I've been saying/thinking for a while now that something really not helping Android is the number of names each phone has - it doesn't happen much over here, but in the US all of the carriers seem absolutely INTENT on changing the name of the phone from HTC or Samsung, and either slightly tweaking the design or using the exact same phone as the one the company originally designed. Like you say, I can see Sprint doing it with the EVO 4G and 4G LTE, but apart from that there aren't many cases where it's going to be truly beneficial to them - with the EVO, they're aiming it at people who have heard of the EVO 4G and know how good it was, but with most of the other names, people see it and think "I've not heard of that phone before, but it looks exactly the same as this other one" or "Wait, but the Samsung Galaxy S2 looks completely different to the Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE Sprint 4G X Ultra!" and ultimately just end up confused, and go and buy an iPhone.

This issue isn't nearly as evident with Windows Phone though - the main issue Microsoft have there is trying to enter a very competitive market where nobody has really heard of them. People in the mainstream consumer electronics market will always try to find something familiar - Android is now becoming this, iOS has been familiar for a while, whereas Windows Phone is not at all familiar to the vast majority of people out there looking to buy a new phone. If people go into a shop and happen to try a Windows Phone phone, they might decide that they really like it, but that isn't much to rely on really. Also, the name still sounds silly, even after Microsoft dropping the 'series' section of it. You can say "Android phone" or "iOS phone" (though the latter would be almost entirely pointless) but with Windows Phone, you're forced to say "Windows Phone phone" or "Windows Phone device". Calling it a device is a bit silly, since they're all phones. Calling it a "Windows Phone" kind of seems silly, because the operating system it's running is not simply called Windows but Windows Phone.

Okay, that does sound like an incredibly minor issue but when something has a name that seems a bit illogical, some people get put off.

Another fun note about customer confusion, RE 4G....when i was in the Sprint store the other day investigating their network I overheard someone talking about buying a 4G phone, Since "4G is coming" There was no sales rep with him at the time, but i was standing there thinking "And if they dont tell this idiot(I thought the person was an idiot for other reasons... Such as buying the megapixel myth someone who was with him was feeding him) that the 4G phones they stock right now are WiMax devices and wont work with the 4G LTE network they're rolling out, He's not going to be very happy"

Yeah, this is an issue as well. They constantly want to brand phones as '4G' in order to get people thinking that they'll get a faster data connection, when in fact it seems to refer to either LTE, WiMax, or HSPA+, which is a bit silly really. I don't think even LTE has been officially classified as a 4G standard yet.

Also, yes, that's something I forgot to mention. the EVO 4G LTE sounds like it's basically an EVO 4G with LTE support, when in fact there's a huge difference between the phones and the only thing they really have in common is the name.
