Hey guys! I was waiting for ivy bridge to come out but it's driving me crazy. So, i7 2700K or the i7 3770K?
Is it worth the wait?

Sure, the 3770 is going to be epic, based on the pre-reviews, but you seriously won't be disappointed by a 2700k/2600k. It's an awesome processor that is awesomely fast. If you want to build a computer now, go for it. Also, they are the same socket, so you can upgrade later if you need to thumb.gif

this can be a use case by use case senerio..
in your case having a i7-2600 it would be worth getting either an i5-3570k or i73770k Ivy if you want to get into overclocking..
if not then i would stick with the i7-2600 for a year and go haswel smile.gif

yes it is worth the wait even with your z68 smile.gif

the way i see it, ivy bridge will atleast overclock the same as sandy bridge, but i expect more average overclocks.. that being said ivy bridge >= sandy bridge so its worth the wait becuase if it turns out to be a beast then you might regret it smile.gif
