Phenom II 955 extremely high voltages - Page 2

If cool and quiet is on, then that looks pretty normal when your system is idle.

Should I turn it off then? It doesn't seem to be scaling up at all and performance in-game has shat the bed.
Turn it off. It is honestly worthless for a gamer to be using, imo. If you need to
worry about power conservation that much you probably shouldn't get a gamer. tongue.gif

I like having cool and quiet on unless I'm trying to test for stable overclocks.

Edit: Actually, I think I know what may be causing your problem. You might have windows under "power saver" rather than balance or high performance.

My head hurts now...

Thanks everyone for the help. + Rep and all that.

Is CPUz reporting the right voltage now or is it still off?

The voltages are still of on CPU-Z but that's all. AOD, 3d Mark, and BIOS all report the same thing so I dunno.

Have you tired using another software voltage monitor like HWMonitor or AIDA? 1.8v would still really concern me.

Well this is problematic, both AIDA and HWMonitor report 1.8v, while AOD now says 1.4v. The temps have normalized, 48c idle and 56c load.
