Putting together my Ivy-Bridge Build.

I am ordering 2 EVGA 680's for the build too. But they are all sold out on newegg at the moment. I already have optical drives, and storage drives.

Opinions before I pull the trigger? Especially on the mobo. I have never had an asrock.

In my opinion the Professional isn't necessary.... I saw little difference in features between the Extreme 4, extreme 6 and professional apart from the phases, but 8+4 is plenty (on the extreme 4 and 6)

Also, I wouldn't go with 4x4gb, but that's preference. I'm happy with 2x4gb

E.g. main difference between extreme 4 and extreme 6 is a display port. And between extreme 6 and professional it's the phases.

Why not go for the H100? Funny it's actually cheaper than the H80 right now on Newegg.

Everything else looks good and I wouldn't undervalue the extra phases provided by the Professional, Klinkey. From my experience, the extra phases could mean getting a stable overclock with the same or lower voltages.

Everything else looks solid. thumb.gif
