I have installed them, but I'm not too into benchmarks, so I don't have any before and after scores for you :\

In games though the drivers seem nice, I can tell the performance in BF3 is a little better. I enabled FXAA in the Global Profile and I haven't really noticed too much of a difference in game. I was playing Killing Floor today and I noticed some of the text, particularly in the menu screens, seemed a bit blurrier with FXAA on. I don't know if this is an issue in all games, I haven't been able to do a whole bunch of in game tests yet though.

Adaptive Vsync seems like a nice feature, I also enabled it in the Global Profile and it seems to work just fine.

For the most part I'm liking the drivers. Hopefully I can see how all the new features work in depth in the near future.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask my fellow GTX 460 user smile.gif

Wait, so is the FXAA a global option only, and we can't turn it on for specific games? That's lame, I wanted to have it for Shogun 2 and not much else.
No, it can be turned on or off under specific game profiles in the NVCP. Click the "Program Settings" tab under "Manage 3D Settings."

It can't be forced in the drivers yet. Right now it had to be coded into the game with the help of Nvidia, much like FXAA originally was.

Just tried these drivers with a 9800 GTX+. The adaptive vsync feature is cool, but I don't see myself or any serious gamer using it very much. As with vsync, as soon as you reach that magic 60fps, it halts the framerate, and stiffles the high-responsiveness feel of framerates beyond 60. Perhaps the effect isn't felt as badly on the GTX 580 or 680, but I just can't get used to it on a 9800 GTX+. The framerates are liquid smooth, but the responsiveness just isn't there.

In otherwords, to me at least, adaptive vsync is a gimmick. It's a cool thing, and the concept is great, but I don't see myself using it very much.

Thanks. I'll probably just end up giving them a go here in a few minutes. I'm curious about that FXAA.

Appreciate the input. Not big on benches either. BF3 + Render.DrawFps 1 is about as far as I go with it.

Thanks again. thumb.gif

Adaptive vsync works great in BF3 but I'm still having slow loading/crash problems with GTA IV.mad.gif

Might have to roll back to 296.xx

Adaptive vsync is mind blowingly simple. Vsync on for 60fps+, vsync off if you drop below 60fps. If you understand how it works then there's nothing else going on and it's certainly not a gimmick. If you were expecting input lag reduction at 60fps, that's a job triple buffering (or an fps limiter at 59fps). You're not making any sense because regular vsync has worse input lag and it cuts the framerate in half rather than dipping naturally.

These drivers don't seem to cope very well with my GTX580 Matrix. My overclock reset itself back to default and I can't even change the core clock anymore, the only thing I can change is the FAN SPEED with ASUS GPU Tweak. Performance in games is absolutely horrible, in Shogun 2 I only get 6-10fps after a clean install and my card would not enter 3D clocks. Back to 296.10.
