Thread Starter
Hey guys i just got my mobo back from RMA and was wondering how i should go about applying thermal paste to it? Do i put the paste on the CPU or on the H60? And so i make a cross or spread or a small dot?

Thanks.

Pea sized dot on the center of the CPU, place the H60 on top, tighten down, it will spread the paste over the CPU

On the CPU to start.

And how is really personal preference. There's a ton of ways to do it, personally I've always used a small drop and spread it around with a business card nice and thin/even. And it's always worked out great for me.

I think the H60 has pre-applied thermal paste. So you don't need that.

Assuming that it was used before the mobo was RMA'd then no, not anymore.
