A question about the Zalman CNPS 10X Extreme CPU cooler on my Asus Crosshair Formula IV Motherboard

Thread Starter
I was thinking of getting a Zalman CNPS 10X Extreme CPU cooler. I may get this cooler because I'll be getting it from a buddy of mine for cheap ($30 woohoo!), still in the box. However I was wondering if it would interfere with my RAM. I have a Crosshair formula IV motherboard, and all the ram slots are used. I'v seen that the Zalman blocks the ram slot some times on AMD socket boards, but only if the ram has a high heat sink (like the vengence). The ram I have is the corsair xms3, and g.skill ram (the red colored one, not ripjaws), both of which don't have the heat sinks that poke up sky high. Has anyone used this cooler on a ? Will I have enough room on my motherboard to keep all my ram in and still have enough room for the cooler? Thanks guys! thumb.gif

Should just get a hyper 212+ if you're aiming for a cheap cooler that performs well. tongue.gif
