Soooo here's a link to it. In the screenshot he has 32 cores so he's using one of the 8 core variants.

I got that. I even went to his personal page and saw 61xx ES.
Still just wondering what xx stands for in this case.
Those TPFs with only 32 cores is quite astounding.

cinebench is delirious, it can't detect over 32 cores, but can be forced to run on all 48.... thumb.gif

F@H is this machines standard application... it performs quite nicely...
but it won't open word quicker than a 2600k at 5.2ghz....

Speed of use (quickness) typically comes down to Ghz.
Overall performance is dictated by the programs ability to use threads.
If you could be more vague I could answer better...

Specifically I need audio performance. I don't fold. But I run applications like FL studio for which I have no idea how many cores they can handle. I don't do folding well, because I am essentially always running ~20% cpu and often need 70~100% at a moments notice.

So what exact CPU's do you have? thumb.gif

Looks amazing though! Would be great for a server! thumb.gif

Updated the original post to account for that omission, Josh is right.

Yet that thread is still alive...
I just swapped fans on Harbringer so I saw fit to make a build log...
I stay in both worlds though its a shame they let thieves in here like mac...

That's too bad. Though I was feeling a little ashamed of getting my cheese kicked, I would rather you be at full strength for the good of the team/cause.

I'm sure HP would understand that curing cancer, Alzheimer's, etc is "essential", right?

and its no where in our guidelines not to....

lol so yes maybe but I aint pushing for it.. I will have anything I "loose" back in January....

but hooking up the essential servers is looking tempting.....set chron job to kill em off on the 3rd...... and all is good...

Too bad the internship had to end. The P's must be proud. thumb.gif

Quite within Stanford's policy.

However, using your position as a Mod (fixed former mod) at FF to get a discount on Horde hardware.
That is theft my dear Bargmann.
