Weird i'm using H100 with push & pull @ 4.5 Ghz / 1.36V and i'm only reaching 44C on max stress test? Sounds like you guys got "monday-examples" or i just got a very good one? Idle it's only 8C

Yes but the 4100 is really a dual and the 8 core is really a quad so a 4100 running 44c is kinda hot. I mean with my a70 my phenom 555 never hit over 40c loads even with 1,55v volts.
My 1035t at 1.5v never got this hot.

You cant compare the 4100 series to the 8100 series. I know your not actually saying it, it just seems people are considering a 4100 series a quad and not a dual with hyper threading. Or they are saying a dual core is the same as a quad.

Well it takes me 1.41vcore to hit 4.4ghz then I hit a wall. I cant seem to get 4.5ghz stable with prime 95 no matter what I do.

what if that cpu has an uneven ihs?

maybe its too concave or convex

My 1035t at 1.48vcore never got above 45c socket temp with my same set up. I really dont understand.
Poolx is that stock settings and testing under prime 95?

more fans does not equal better air flow, every so often some customer comes in to the shop i work at with an over heating rig, low and behold we remove half of them and the temps drop.
BD is gonna run hot it is basically a Pentium 4 also like a P4 the higher the clocks the more performance they yield. That said there is reason Phenom IIs cost MORE than BD.

8150 @ 4.65 hits 41 - 45c-ish for 24/7 F@H and my socket temps aren't too bad. Granted i am running water on the cpu but the socket temps arent highly affected by that. My opinion is that your poor case airflow is whats killing you. another possibility would be to make sure the pump in your H100 isnt failing as well. is your pump pushing the correct rpm's? again air flow is whats going to dictate socket temps without an active cooling solution on/near the socket so you need to optimize your case to make sure that you have the fastest turnover of air in your case that can be obtained. Check with the air-cooling forum to make sure that your airflow is optimized. I might add that closed loop cooling is also best implements as an "intake" device rather than using the already heated case air for cooling your CPU. (I didn't read full thread so if you are running your H100 as intake good!)

Try to reduce your voltage until CPU starts failing in tests. You should get even better temp results.

My chip has a stock vid of 1.33vcore and it runs hotter than dog poop. I have an h100 and at 1.41vcore and 4.4ghz i hit 70c socket temp 60c cores and at 1.42-1.44vcore I hit 80c socket temp and 65c core.
I have remounted with noctua thermal paste 3 times and im positive its perfect. Even at stock with an h100 i hit 44c core temps, 50 c socket temps.
So my question is how are yall running bulldozer in regards to the temps limit OCing?
Do you think I should RMA the temp for excessive temps? I know some people have, but they received a different chip that ran just as hot.
Im thinking about popping in my 1035t and selling my 8120 and waiting for the next revision of bulldozer..... what do yall tink about that? I mean some of yall think that bulldozer is crap when compared to an x6 anyways.
EDIT: Im running push pull on the h100 full blast.

i hitted the same speed/vcore BUT with a 212 EVO.. temps never went above 50c SOOOOO youre either:

a.- Have a badly mounted cooler/crapy case/airflow

b.- Trolling

Yeah, with my Corsiar H100 on FX-8150 I hit 48 Celsius @ 4.6Ghz 1.425v and high 50's @ 4.8Ghz 1.475v (This is using AMD Overdrive Readings)

With Coretemp it only Read 44 Celsius for both speeds.

I only run my H100 with stock Fans in a Push setup. My pump setting is on high (all the lights are on, on it) And it pushes air out the top of my case.

The only fans I have are a 3" fan mounted to the NB Heatsink and aimed at the VRM's Heatsink, and a standard sized fan mounted on the front, aimed at my HDD and SSD. (and of course the H100 Fans)

On a side note - I never had any major heat issues with my chip, but I did a lapping on it. The center of the IHS was much lower than the outsides, but now it's nice and flat and shiny.
