Hate Graphics Card Shrouds

They run hotter with them & You have to remove the shroud to clean the dust out, (unless they are liquid cooled)

Hoping to see some differnt versions in the future = something like ASUS.ect GTX560Ti/580 design.

I have no problem with shrouds, makes them look sleek. Well you have to clean any air cooled gpu regardless of it does, or does not have a shroud anyways.

I can certainly agree with you. I think, at the very least, the shroud should be designed to be easily removable.

Two recent designs that I admire are:-

1) Inno3D 's GTX680
It has a metallic shroud that can be easily detached by unscrewing six thumb screws so that you can clean the inside easily.thumb.gif
As a side benefit, you can easily spray paint the shroud to whatever colour to match your rig theme.

2) Onda's GTX560Ti/560/550
There is no shroud but a frame on which you can affix (up to four) fans easily by screws. Needless to say, you can remove the fans to clean the heatsink easily.
Also, you can replace/upgrade fans easily as well.thumb.gif

Yes, the Inno3D 's GTX680 design is what i like, they run cooler, & i might have to stop being a ASUS fanboy, unless they go back to this design, & as N3C14R said, you still have to clean them, but these design's are just easier to clean & or replace/upgrade fans.

i like my shroud it looks sweet and funnels the airflow over the fins.
