1. Why do you think you should receive a sample?

Computers and their components and builds have been big part of my hobbiest life for a long time now since the days of Pentium 4 with HT! Reviews are pretty much what sum up how and what I buy spend and where and who from. I will always go with the general consensus and I prefer "real" people as opposed to media reviewers who may or may not be tied in with certain manufacturers. Real honest feedback is what I want. So this is what I love to provide. A step by step build with your components and honest genuine feedback on use, quality, cable management, air flow, noise, looks, feel and so on. I also think I deserve them because genuinely I love your products.

Just some real end users feedback without the babble tech.

2. What parts will you be using?

This review will be using the following components:

-Intel 2500k
-8GB Corsair RAM
-MSI GD65 B3 Motherboard

1. Why do you think you should receive a sample

Because I'm planning a new build now. Going to move from a core 2 build to a z77 and ivy bridge and having a new case will help with the budget. I'm not going to do a custom water cooling rig since I'm not a pro at that and it's way out of budget, but I'm doing a pre-filled liquid cooled with some matching parts and at the end, I think it'll look pretty nice. The only thing I'm not quite decided yet is with the matching color parts, I plan to go green but most motherboards these days have blue PCB or accents so maybe I'll go with blue.

2. What parts will you be using

CPU : Intel i5-3550K/3570K(I'm not sure what the released one will be called but I'll be going with an i5)
Cooler : Corsair H100 CPU Cooler
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 8GB(2x4GB) 1600MHz Blue
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65(since most Z77 boards released have blue accents, I'll be going with this one)
HDD : 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3(from my old system)
Video Card : MSI N460GTX Cyclone 1GB(not planning to change that yet)
PSU : Corsair HX750W Modular Power Supply

3. Type and color of Alchemy Cables and qty amounts

1x6 Pin PCIe Power Extension 45cm White
1x6 Pin PCIe Power Extension 45cm Blue
1x8 Pin EPS12v Extension 45cm White
1xATX 24 Pin Extension 30cm Blue
2xMolex To 3x3 Pin Fan Adapter 12v 20cm Blue
3x3 Pin Fan Cable Extension 30cm Blue
3x3 Pin Fan Cable Extension 30cm White
1xMolex To 4x SATAPower Extension 20cm White

4. Type and color of Spectre Pro with qty amounts

6xSpectre Pro Blue LED-120mm

5. Type (length) and color of Alchemy LED's

4xAlchemy Connect LED Strips Blue-30mm

I know this may not be the top of the line build but it's my second build and I'm going to do it right this time. I'm really glad you guys are doing this giveaway. You guys are the best.

I would love an opportunity to put in my two cents on this case. When I first heard of its release here on OCN, I posted stating that it would be the perfect case if Bitfenix would come up with a simple/square side panel window with no fan holes. I can even dig this post up I suppose, if it were to help my chances. I didn't really expect to see it happen, but obviously I wasn't the only one, cause there it is - what appears to be my perfect case, a reason to finally move out of my original modded CM 690. If by small chance I did end up with one of these cases within my mitts, I would mostly be re-using current hardware, but I guess I'll list what would go in here. All of it is already owned unless otherwise stated.

Intel 2500K @ 5.0GHz w/ either my Corsair H80, or my Swiftech 240+ 4 x Ultra Kaze 3000+Apogee+Micro Res+Danger Den CPX-1 loop
ASRock Extreme3 Gen3
8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600
Zotac GTX 570 (reference)
possibly a Zotac GTX 460 for physics, not sure if worth the extra power draw to be honest
2 x 160GB + 2 x 320GB HDDs
Antec TruePower New 650
***64-128 GB SSD (not sure which brand/model)
***Bluray drive

*** - maybe or not purchased

Cable wise, I'm not positive because planning a build can take a very long time, and planning for something that isn't even likely to ever materialize is something I'd rather not do, but off the top of my head, here it goes -

2 x 6-pin GPU
1 x EPS 8-pin
4 x fan extensions (90)
2 x molex extension
1 x ATX 24-pin
2 x chassis I/O
5 x sata cable w/ sleeve
2 x internal USB

Might have missed something, or added an extra that could go unused, but that's pretty close. I would be doing all black for all the extensions. The overall theme of the build will be blacked out, with hints of yellow/gold from the Zotac labels and motherboard. If the 240 loop is used, either black tubing or automotive heater hose would be used. I've used the heater hose before and everyone commented on how great it looked in my builds, and I would agree.

As for the Spectre Pros, I guess this would be the ideal setup, but would vary depending on 240 loop versus Corsair H80 -

H80 -

1 x 230mm (front)
2 x 120mm (rear, for H80 push/pull)
2 x 230mm (top)
2 x 120mm (bottom/floor)

Swiftech 240 loop, rad on bottom -

1 x 230mm (front)
1 x 140mm (rear)
2 x 230mm (top)
4 x 120mm (bottom, 240 rad push/pull or just use 4 x owned Ultra Kazes on controller)

Swiftech 240 loop, rad on top -

1 x 230mm (front)
1 x 140mm (rear)
4 x 120mm (top, 240 rad push/pull or just use the 4 x owned Ultra Kazes on controller)
2 x 120mm (bottom)

As for LEDs -

2 x white Alchemy Connect 30cm
2 x white Alchemy Connect 120mm

Like I said, I realize the chances may be slim, but I would be ever grateful for a chance to put such a beautifully designed case through its paces, and would promise an extremely thorough and in-depth analysis of the design. Things such as cable clearance, ability to hide the cables, overall appearance and workability, construction and quality, etc. From here though the case looks like a winner and will likely purchase one regardless of how this turns out. It seems to be what I have been wanting in a case for a few years now and you guys have finally answered. I am so glad not to see the original Shinobi's window design on this one though, and that is a triumph in itself to me. Thanks again for giving the OCN community an opportunity to give our input.

**EDIT**

Since I found it anyway, here's a link to a post from a little over a week ago with the statement about wanting a simple/square fan-less window design -

http://www.overclock.net/t/1236674/vortez-bitfenix-shinobi-xl-review/20#post_16863862

Thanks again for getting the community involved.

Below, please tell us:
1. Why do you think you should receive a sample?
i think i should recive a sample because, i have only worked with one case in the past, its an original Raidmax Tornado. i still have it to this day. i did modify it for almost everything i needed i hid my wires niceley, but no room behind the tray for your awesome cables. i upgraded the 4 80mm fans with restrictive flow to 2 120mm fans. t i still cant keep my rig cool playing battlefield 3.and i have to keep the door off my case to keep it cool but it is extremely loud! i would not be impartial do doing a review of the Bitfenix Raider as it is my favorite case you guys make and im dying to get my hands on one. (and little reviews out ther from consumer ;-)) all day i dream about hardware and new cases but a budget is a terible thing to have.

2. What parts will you be using?
my current build, an AMD 955 BE overclocked to 4.0 ghz (hopefully staying nice and cool with a coolermaster hyper 212+evo) my Gigabyte 990fx-ud3 board 8 gigs of my gskill ripjaws x 1866 ram at 1600 clocked to 8-9-8-24-1t and my overclocked xfx 6870 1gb card, my seasonic x650 psu this was a great budget second system if i had an awesome case to put it in

3. Type and color of Alchemy Cables and qty amounts?
one alchemy white 24pin cable 1 alchemy white 8pin cpu power cable, 2 6 pin alchemy cables white, and the 2 pin chassis i/o 5 times in red, aswell as 2 sata cables in red and a molex to 4x sata in red. front audio extension in white. as well as 4 3pin fan extensions in white

4. Type and color of Spectre Pro with qty amounts?
in the bitfenix shinobi xl i would use 3 230mm spectre pro fans 2 for the top 1 in the front in 2 white one red , one 140 red fan in the rear.
in a bitfenix raider i would use 2 200mm red pro fans one in the top one in the front and a 120mm red in the back

5. Type (length) and color of Alchemy LED's?
i would use a conncet 30mm underneath my motherboard for a nice red glow, and a 60 cm red for the top and a 60cm white for the bottom for a nice ambient glow.

thanks for the chance to win free stuff!!!!

Hmm....... This may interest me since I should be able to fit my new quad rad in the bottom instead of modifying my NZXT case.

1. Why do you think you should receive a sample:
I always have to skimp on my case to get the parts im wanting, also have always loved BitFenix cases and heard about the great customer service(as I've had so many bad exp's with case manufacturers) I would love to be able to put all my parts into a case and not have to worry about making sure every part fits and has optimal airflow. Im just an average joe with a little better then minimum wage job that saves up for 7-8 months for a new build. This would be a wonderful chance to get a great case and review an awesome product!

1. Why do you think you should receive a sample?
I would love the opportunity to try this product. I've been looking for a move from MicroATX to ATX, and this case looks to be perfect. I've been quite impressed with Bitfenix and would really love to try out some of their products. My build would also showcase how a current MicroATX build would look in this case. I would also definitely do a very detailed "build log" showcasing the product and its' features.

2. What parts will you be using?
- MSI 890GXM-G65 MicroATX Motherboard
- AMD Phenom II x4 970 Processor
- Corsair H50 CPU Cooler
- 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaw X RAM
- XFX Branded ATi Radeon 5850
- 80GB Intel G2 SSD
- Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB Hard Drive
- Seasonic X-750 Power Supply

3. Type and color of Alchemy Cables and qty amounts
- (1x) ATX 24-pin extension (White)
- (1x) Intel ATX-4 pin extension (White)
- (2x) 6-pin video card extension (White)
- (1x) Fan adapter cable (3 fans to one connector) (White)

4. Type and color of Spectre Pro with qty amounts
- (2x) 120mm Spectre Pro
- (1x) 230mm Spectre Pro

5. Type (length) and color of Alchemy LED's
- (2x) 30cm White LED strips

Thanks for the opportunity,

Bryan

I think i should receive a sample product because right now i am using the original Bitfenix Shinobi Midtower (very well built, i love it) and i would really like to see the improvements as well as test out a real high quality enthusiast full tower because i really want to start a watercooling build with my current components its just the midtower doesnt really support it, id feel really cramped in just a midtower if i tried to WC even though my original shinobi is awesome. Also i have always loved bitfenix's products since day 1 and i was originally going to get the Collossus Venom beacuse its so beautiful haha but then i saw the shinobi and it fit my needs better and since then ive always like the styling of the Shinobi especially since its so easy to make your own. anyways i would really love to have the opportunity to review this product because it would help me out in so many ways and I would love to help out on of my favorite case companies on the market

1. Above everything I do in the gaming/tech world, I'm a case enthusiast. There's really nothing that gets me excited more than the enclosure. For all intents and purposes, it is the physical computer that we see and interact with more than the parts. As a result of this, I have a lot of experience in both building in tons of different "enthusiast" enclosures as well as researching every bit I can about all the newest and greatest.

This case is the one I really wanted to do a full-featured guide on how to achieve a clean aesthetic without needing to sleeve your own cables or do anything intensive in modding the case itself. This is truly the strength of the Bitfenix range, and the Shinobi XL is the perfect choice to showcase it. Bitfenix cases really epitomize a mature look, and that's the trait I would try to emulate the the component choices.

With this in mind, I do a fair amount of writing on my team's tech blog (www. teamzfz.com) as well as the NeoGAF "I Need a PC Thread". One of the things I like to really push people towards is making a good case decision as that has such a profound effect on the experience of using a computer. Bitfenix is still making headway in the US, and the products are really under the radar, seemingly due to the lack of them on Newegg. I know Bitfenix needs and deserves to get the word out there on their range of products, especially the Shinobi XL.

SSD: Corsair Force GT 120GB
HDD: 2xSamsung Spinpoint F3's in RAID0
