Reasonably priced graphics card that will run skyrim?

Thread Starter
I haven't upgraded my pc in a long time. Tried to run Skyrim and it was too slow and laggy to even play on medium settings.
Here are specs:

OS: Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
CPU: Intel Core Quad Q6700 2.66GHz
Memory: 3070 RAM
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT g.gif
Res: 1920x1200

My system is pretty old but I ran Oblivion on high with no problems. Do I just need a new graphics card? What's the best one I can get for around $100?

a good & cheap couple of cards
GTX 260 216c NO DX11 tho but will run most things easily you could get one of those for pretty cheap
and great if you dont need DX11 to enjoy your games

Or even better a, GTX 460 is a very good price/performance card if you can find one in your price range & has DX11

if you could get a little extra $$ you could get a c heap GTX 560 /TI as people are selling off there cards to upgrade to the GTX 6XX series

or if you dont want Nvidia you could go with ether a ATI HD 4850/90 NO DX11 again tho but can be found for a very good price usualy around the same price of a 260

or maybe a HD 5850 if you can get one for a good price and also has pretty good price/performance & has DX11

& +1 OC that CPU of yours there are lots of useful guides on this site
