Best rad/fan combo (HELP!)

Thread Starter
I have been doing tons of research, and I am trying to figure out which radiator is best for me setup. I will be using 3 480mm rads, and one 9x140mm rad. I could also use 560mm rads but Aquacomputer doesn't have any 560mm rads. So I am pretty sure that I will go with 4 480mm AMS systems, but what fans should I go with? I was looking at some 38mm thick 210cfm fans, but I am afraid they will be too loud. Do you guys have any good ideas for fans?

Thanks I can't wait to here back from you guys.

Personally, I really like the San Ace H1011s. They're a 38mm fan that moves ~100cfm at ~40dB and 2600rpm. They're not exactly quiet, but they're not obnoxiously loud either. I find them tolerable, and they're no worse than Yate Loon high speeds while offering much better performance. If you're looking for even less noise, Gentle Typhoon AP-15s are popular, though they obviously don't perform as well.

I assume with this large quantity of radiators they will be in a seperate enclosure? Or are you planning to put 3x the 480 rad and 1x the 1260 rad (9x140) in your room? Because if they are in a seperate space then you don't need to worry about noise. And you will have a lot of cooling power there, just saying. (Or am I misunderstanding the setup here?)

Sheesh, that's a whole lot of rad you've got there.

I'm voting for Yate Loons, they're reliable, they're proven and they're pretty quiet.

They will be inside a caselabs tx10-V case, so they will probably sit right next to me. (above our horse run-in, in my man cave)
I will be using a separate psu so power draw doesn't really matter to me.

what u think of these http://www.frozencpu.com/products/15579/fan-978/Aerocool_Shark_Green_Edition_120mm_x_25mm_High_Air_Pressure_Fan_w_Green_LEDs.html

With that much radiator space, even low speed fans will likely give you really good temps (depending on your setup of course).

I don't see why you need such high speed/cfm fans with THAT much rad. I would run ap-15's tbh.
Also, you either don't have a girlfriend or make a LOT of money.
(I'm kidding, jus strong jelly!)

Cannot wait to see the build log you're going to make us here at OCN! wink.gif
