the 680 does benefit from 3.0 but with single card (in a benchmark) there is only a 4 average fps gain over 2.0. However multiple 680s in sli on 3.0 do show noticeable gains

oh really? well I guess in terms of 60fps or less then 4fps gain is quite a bit really.. thats right with the gains of having an overclocked card versus stock clocks
