This error is certainly related to .NET, I think I had that one time as well but went away when I rebooted the system. For some reason XP didn't pick up that I had installed framework until I rebooted. Stupid question but did you try it after rebooting the machine or directly after installing framework.

Thats what im thinking to. To be honest I tried right after installing am3 but I have rebooted after installing 3.5 yes.

Also did a clean install of retail xp, but im getting the same error as in tiny version. Tried a new dl, but still the same.

Could I be using a wrong version of .NET 3.5? Or is it the install of AM cousing the issue?

Could be the AM3.I had similar issues on different builds getting it to work,when they had the first wrapper.This time I used a fresh download from HWBOT and it worked the first time.

Can't comment on the vanilla xp installs but on the stripped versions, there are things besides .net that need to be included in the os. Took me many os compiles to find what they where, though I have only narrowed it down.

I still play with heaven, although I don't like Aquamark as much anymore. I can make it work on my XP, but something with the .net 4.0 makes the machine slow.

It's sad how provisions to stop cheating have almost killed this already dieing benchmark. Guess, they don't have to worry about anyone cheating if no one benches it....
