A few questions on GTX460 SLI setup

Thread Starter
I found someone on craigslist who is willing to sell me his eVGA GTX460 1GB (256-bit) card for $100. I already own a gigabyte GTX460 1GB 256-bit. I want to SLI to get a little boost in game performance.

My questions:

- Is this a good deal?
- Is it a good idea to SLI these old cards?
- Where can I get an SLI bridge?
- Will my 550W suffer from this setup? I know 600W would be ideal here but I heard 550W would be okay if I don't go too harsh on overclocking the CPU and other components.

Thanks

Yea, $100 is a decent deal for it.
Yes it is good to SLI these cards, the perform very well in SLI (I have heard GTX 580 range). Biggest downside is only 1 gig of RAM.
SLI bridge should have come with your Mobo, if not, get one on e-bay.
Your 550 should be fine (but will need 2 molex to 6 pin connectors since your PSU only has 2 and you need 4).

The 1GB VRAM per GPU is not a big problem as your resolution is only 1680x1050.

The biggest issue is that the motherboard in your sig rig (ie Asus P5Q SE/R) has only one PCIEx16 slot. This means you cannot use SLI unless you change to another.
