Antec 900 with Noctua fans?

I wanted to increase the cooling inside the case of my Antec 900. Currently I'm using the stock fans. Sound isn't an issue, but I see a lot of people recommending the Noctua fans for air flow. Is this the best fan for air flow or is it just a compromise of air flow and sound? Are there fans better at cooling than these?

I will be installing 3 front fans as intake. I'm debating on placing one fan on the side panel or just leaving the side panel off. The top is an exhaust (which will remain the default antec big boy) while the rear fan will be an intake in push/pull for the corsair cooler.

The noctua fan reviews state that they are terrible for corsair radiators, any suggestions on better fans if this is the case?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just hoping to bring down my temps a little!

While noctua fans are considered one of the best the 900 has quite a lot of airflow already, you would prob see 1-2c difference at max. Rad fans are down to how much you want to spend.

There are the

Ap-15

Yate Medium speed

XSPC fans
Small wonder.

+rep. Thanks for the quick response! Looking into the Typhoon's now.

Edit: Do you think the side panel is worth having on with a Typhoon or leaving off completely?

Well you could just take the stock corsair off the rad and replace it with the AP-15. so you only have to buy one fan or 2 (if you are doing push pull). Then put the Corsair one on the side panel if your gtx 260 is getting starved for air which in a 900 is pretty hard to do.
Small wonder.

Alright, thanks again. Just wanted to make sure I'm getting the most out of the case. Cheers!

I agree. I may not have the Antec 900 but I have the 1200 so I do atleast have an idea of what you are talking about wink.gif
With one GTX260 you really won't need that side fan, unless you plan on overclocking it, but then we are going into a different world of temperatures and cooling, so in the end, I agree with getting the Typhoons and replacing the stock fans.
