Rampage III Black Edition, How To Update BIOS Using RC BIOS Flashback?

Thread Starter
So got this motherboard and I get the FF code on boot and no post, red led for CPU is on.

Tried a i7 920 instead of my 980X but same result. I thought maybe a bad BIOS but I cant get it to update its BIOS using the RC flashback.

What should I rename the BIOS file to? I tried R3BE, R3E and few other names but no luck.

If anyone knows how to use the flashback on the Black Edition, please guide me.

Thanks!

just pop out the cmos battery on the motherboard to reset it back to factory.

unless you modified it...

will it get to safe mode?

Just an update: The Black Edition does not have BIOS flashback, only the original Rampage 3 Extreme did.

Apparently there was insufficient space for that feature.
