I'm using a Dell SAS card and a fujitsu 15K RPM drive, The PCI-E slot it is in is apparently only a 4x mode slot (Where as the card calls for 8x) There are settings in the BIOS to change clock speeds for the PCI-E slots. I'm wondering if this would increase performance of my SAS? It doesn't seem to perform as well as it should (The Windows rating is only a 5.9 where as I've heard of people with the same drive / card getting a 6.5+) Or does this only apply for Graphics cards in Crossfire mode?
