As far as laptops go that should suit you just fine. Though when I bought a multimedia type laptop like the one you listed I quickly had buyer's remorse when I realized I needed to tote around a mouse to effectively use it for gaming or any general use really. Not to mention that "multimedia" type laptops are more meant as desktop replacements where you won't be moving them much, nor wanting to move them much.

If you absolutely must get a laptop instead of a desktop get this. You'll probably hate moving it around(battery life, weight, accessories), but if it needs to be somewhat portable then a desktop just won't do.

Otherwise build your own desktop that mops the floor with this system at a similar price point biggrin.gif.

well i got a few things to point out,
first, the Asus has a 17.3 inch screen (higher res requires higher GPU power and vram), while the lenovo got a 14" decent monitor
second, you got an i5(asus) vs i7(lenovo)
third, 4GB ram(asus) vs 8GB ram (lenovo)
forth and Most Importantly GT 540M (asus) vs 7690M (lenovo) and here the 7690M crushes the 540M

lastly fifth, Price? biggrin.gif

Hope that was helpful enough information thumb.gif
good luck with your choice

the the toshiba i recently posted. 2 options, was leaning to the toshiba since its has better everything, proc for the i5, faster hard drive, better graphics, more ram but less hard drive space. i can upgrade right ? sucks about the res but it should still lot good on a 17.3in screen, LCD screen also.
the asus has blue with LED screen. forget whats better LCD or LED?

That's the best deal you can get for the Qosmio line. However, there are some other deals out there if you wanna just wait a bit. I'll be posting up a thread that talks about the different gaming laptops soon. Gimme about an hour or two and I'll be done for the most part. ^^
