It happened in Warhammer 40k: Space Marine today as well at the 4.3GHz. Now if I got 4.5 or higher it'll even blue screen in Intel Burn Test. Prime 95 is the worst, I don't error out, but at least 1 core goes down in the first 20 seconds.

First use driver sweeper to remove the AOD driver. Then give me a complete list of BIOS settings you're using at 4.5 (try not to leave any out that have to do with the CPU and RAM),

do you want me to try to OC it then? As I said it's at stock at the moment, which is I believe 1600 for ram speed. Cpu is at it's normal 3.300 GHz. As for temps, it just says AUTO so I don't know.

Also I already got that driver sweeper and used it

one OC I was using was the "profile 1" on my mobo which just switches cpu frequency to 250 and ram to x8 to be 2000MHZ. I would have cpu clock at 18 to be 4.5 GHz. For Voltage I would leave at Profile 1's 1.605V since 1.6 was listed as the voltage for my ram. I would have CPU voltage at 1.4V and NB at 1.315V. That guide I linked said that you shouldn't go over 1.315 and 1.4 for the CPU seemed fine. I put NB at x9 for 2250 and FT link at it's original voltage 1.2V at x10 for 2500MHz

and that was blue screening.

That explains a lot. Let me review your MB manual and I'll walk you through it step by step.

Edit - give me an hour or so I have some other stuff to do as well first.

ok I'm heading to bed now, 8 am physics class tomorrow. Also I forgot to mention in my OC I turned off all the C6, cool n quiet, C1E(?) and there was another setting that wasn't in the guide that I read called AMD APM, it had to do with controlling power so I assumed I wanted that disabled too, correct me if I was wrong. I also put my LLC to the second highest setting, which is Very High I believe.

Okay, when you get back on tomorrow post a message and we'll walk through the bios settings.

Hey again, what are the actual stock voltages for the FX-6100? I am getting confused, it must be a BIOS issue because the board applies odd voltages.

I figured the stock CPU VID voltage is 1.35 (stock clock at 3.3Ghz)? Prime95, CPU Vcore reports at 1.272-1.284.

Also my 4.2Ghz overclock seems OK:

Multi 21
FSB 200
CPU VID 1.362
CPU NB 1.2
LLC: Extreme (brings vcore up to 1.38/1.392).

That is the max multiplier I can get at the moment. Also I have to up the voltage a lot if I raise the base clock, but I just think this is a BIOS issue. So I want to just overclock multiplier until a BIOS version is released tongue.gif

So yeah, what is the stock voltages because my board applies 1.4. And what would be the best best voltage for 24/7 operation?

Thanks! smile.gif
