I just use a black plank of what used to be a shelf that I didn't need where it was. It happened to be the perfect size, sticking out a couple inches on each side. Sounds ghetto, but it really don't look bad at all.
If that's all you're really wanting, why buy a whole new desk? Just get a piece of wood generally the size of your computer's footprint, and call it good.

I advise thinking twice of placing a PC close to the floor. My experience is the PC will suck in a lot more dust (relative to being placed on a desk) when it is placed close to the floor (even when it is 6'' above the floor).

my desks do have a computer tray with wheels where I can put the computer on them (rocket on wheels xD) but i dont use them. i felt like sharing a few pictures and here they are
