aquastream XT Question - Page 2

If you can't find them on Frozencpu then you can get them from here : http://www.aquatuning.us/product_info.php/info/p8020_Eheim-Bundle-Ein-Auslass-Adapter-f-r-1046---sechseck.html. Shipping might be expensive if you don't get nothing else from them.

So,, how this look for fitting:

Took the plunge.
Ordered the Aquastream XT Ultra, plus the adapters.
Also 8 of the compression fittings and 10 ft of clear 1/2" Tygon tubing.

I wont have a reservoir or Rads yet,, I guess I can test the pump with just a big bucket of water.

Do you use special cooling fluid or just water?

I was looking at getting one of these too, does anyone happen to have approximate dimensions? Can they be mounted at angles other than the one pictured?

Just plain old distiller water.

All other directions are ok except inlet pointing down. Measurements are pretty much same as for this standard Eheim 1046 : http://www.charterhouse-aquatics.co.uk/catalog/eheim-1046-universal-pump-300-ltrhr-p-264.html. Those numbers have barbs included.

Great, thank you very much thumb.gif

The Aquastream XT is extremely quiet as long as you have the space to decouple it properly. The only audible noise coming from mine was vibration from the chassis, since I didn't have long enough tubing from the bay reservoir to the pump so vibration travelled through it. On later tries I managed to get the pump completely silent, by using more tubing and having the pump rest on thick foam. I later switched the pump out for dual D5s in order to gain a bit more pumping power, but since the noise is too high with my D5s on more than setting 2 I probably haven't gained more than redundancy smile.gif.
