Did you apply the thermal paste? Sometimes people miss that going to fast lol. Also loosen the raystorm a little, if anything would leak it'd come from the fittings. I've read this before where someone over tighten there CPU water block and there PC wouldn't post.

worth a look at imho as it is easily done on the 1155 socket.

Could you tell me how to check for bent pins?I will need to remove the raystorm block which means I will have water all over my parts.

You should be able to take the waterblock off without getting any leakage. Do not take off the tubing or disassemble the waterblock, just loosen the four screws holding the block down on the CPU. smile.gif

I have a XSPC raystorm CPu block.Im worried if I loosed the screws that there will be a leakage. The raystorm block has multiple pieces and all are very loose.

Nah...Only thing that'll get messed up is the mobo. What's loose? that top piece? eh..don't worry about that.
When you're tightening down a block....just snug is best.

Try reseating the RAM..turning your monitor off then on.You do have a fan plugged into the cpu fan header, right?

All my fans ( 3 scythe gentle typhoons + 1 CM megaflow) are connected to the scythe kaze master fan controller.

I have no cpu fan as I am using water cooling.

Try loosening the 4 screws that hold the cpu waterblock to the cpu and i wiggle the cpu and tighten just till it wont move then i go 1/4 turn more. I had a motherboard that wouldnt post cuz i tightened the waterblock to tight. Like others have said check to see if you used thermal paste and sometimes you have to go in bios and make sure your cpu power header is set so it thinks its ok to not have fan etc attached scince you are water cooling.

quick update guys, I didnt mention it but the dram led on my mobo is constantly red. A quick read through the manual says that it may be due to incompatible memory.I also I pressed the reset button but I still get the red dram light. All my 4 slots worked prior to installing the WC setup.

Cleared CMOS as well. Im really bummed right now:(

Loosened the cpu block as well.Same blank screen.Even plugged one of my fans in the CPU fan header. The monitor works but theres still the blank screen

Take the RAM out, replace it, try again.

If it deson't work take the RAM out, use one stick at a time in the primary slot until it works. If it still doesn't work repeat with the second primary slot.

Hopefully you have one bad stick or a bad connection.

Edit:

Sometimes the RAM slots on ASUS boards are very stiff, make sure that the RAM is sitting properly in the slot. Mine sometimes don't go all the way down on the non-clip side.

Cool, glad you got it working!

WC'ing GPUs is great, you will be able to OC them further now. My GPU is limited by how much voltage I am prepared to put through it, never seen the GPU core reach 50°C even on a warm day.
