Doesn't seem like a bad game so far. play is a bit like wow which I am very use to.
So far its been kill 6 of this or 3 of that, not kill 20 of this 15 of that.
and what you have to hunt or kill, at least so far is in plenty of abundance so your not searching for ever to finish the quest.

The reason is most of the time: The game is junk, and going F2P is the only way for the company to make a buck off people.
People spend way more money on F2P junk than on regular titles.

And yes, I have played Aion in the beta's and when it went retail.
It was junk then, and it will be worse when it's F2P.

You may think it's "Free", but after a while of playing you will always find you are missing out on the good stuff if you don't pay.

okey dokey smokey. I thought the game was pretty fun when I played it, were it not for the zerging/one-sided nature before server merges I would've stayed. I don't know how the game turned out after server merges but I will now. I will continue to think it is "free" because after a while...I'll still be sitting pretty. I will see no need to purchase anything since I don't care about the taha gear they were handing out to people buying these c.u.b.e. things since I am fine with the Miragent's set I left my Sorc with. I plan to sell everything else I have on that sorc and start crafting gear for my reroll of an assassin. Since I left the game with maxed out everything for gathering, this will be an easy thing for myself, I will twink my sin and camp happily in the 30-40 lvl range of the Elyos side and kill any Elyos I see. I plan to have a lot of fun at a lower level annoying Elyos until their throats are soar from yelling to higher levels to come kill me. This will all be done between the times I am sitting around waiting for my Tera guild to come and run dungeons with me or during slower times during Tera. I can also do this if Tera gets boring and I haven't decided yet on if I'll be playing D3 and/or GW2. Guess what, this won't cost me a penny to play Aion still...wanna know why? cause it is free?!?!

Go away mr. bitter no one cares about your thoughts on F2P. If you don't want to play the game that is fine, no problem with me as it seems you would be no fun to have in game anyways, for anyone else, feel free to try out the game and see if you enjoy it. I suggest not making a judgement on the game at only lvl 15 as I myself didn't really enjoy it early on but as the game progressed it became more and more fun. It is free, doesn't hurt you to check it out and if you really don't want to keep playing before you get to a higher level then hey, that was your decision and you didn't lose any money in the process right? See you guys out there.

I already devoted 8 months of having Aion as my primary game when it first released. As far as Aion goes, it's too little, too late for me. I've never seen such poor support for a game, especially after it had just released. Bots were rampant, I literally mean rampant to the full extent of the words meaning. Everywhere was bots, the only place you could kill a monster was in the elite areas where naturally, bots couldn't solo. It took them 3 months to finally start banning them, by which time it was too late. Majority of people quit because of it and it went down hill from there. It's good to see they're trying to revive this game but, I've lost my faith in NCsofts ability to provide decent support for Aion...Not to mention out of my 6 years of PC gaming, Aion was the ONLY account I've ever had compromised (majority of our legion at one time or another had their accounts hacked as well).

It was a really fun game, during the period I played it, the lack of end game stuff to do I just totally got bored with it. Took a month to get to 50, then I spent months just pvping and trying to keep occupied and slowly watched the game fizzle out. I got my moneys worth, I may pop in to see what they've done with the game since I've stopped playing but that's likely the extent of it. They should've made it F2P awhile ago.

The awnser should be reason enough not to play it.

Besides the misspelling, this statement is in itself laughable at.

F2P has no bearing on whether a game should be played or not. It is simply a business strategy to attract more customers.
