When I found out that Aion was a total grindfest as well post-20 (by seeing my XP needed to level go up nearly 400k XP over what was needed for 19-20), I quit. I never said I couldn't get past level 20, I said that after seeing that, I decided it wasn't worth my time because I had no need of yet another eastern grindfest MMO, boredom had nothing to do with it. Contextual comprehension is a good thing - really.
And for the record, my Warrior was 28 before I finally gave up that horrible grind.
After looking over what you had said...pretty sure you never once said "After seeing the xp I needed to get to lvl 21 I decided it wasn't worth my time". Since when is the number amount of xp an indication of how long it will take? If it takes 5 million exp to get from lvl 20-21, but mobs give you 20,000 exp and a quest could give you 200,000 (made up numbers, but you get the point) then how is looking at a number indicate the grind. You sir are a lazy MMO player who is too use to WoW if that is how you analyze the grind. Not every MMO is cookie cutter easy to get from 1-60 and thats what I enjoy most about games like Aion and L2, it gets rid of you lazy MMO players that expect end game content to be obtainable tomorrow. Like Tokkan said, if you are complaining about a "horrible grind" in the 20s...then don't come back because this game isn't built for you.
Also, no one said you had to even go for top level in this game. That was another fun part for me. We had guild members who would get to 50 and didn't enjoy the one-sided nature of the Abyss, so they rerolled and got to lvl 30-40 and played "tag" in the Elyos areas killing them off and getting nice AP gear (PvP gear). I myself plan to do this coming back into the game as well, I have a lvl 50 sorc which I may go and play on but my new plan is to cause grief to the lower guys because it is fun.Edited by DayzaStarr - 4/13/12 at 6:59am
