I just don't understand why some PC gamers feel the need to blast devs each and every time they do something they don't agree with 100%.

A previous poster told me I could have a different opinion w/o insulting those who disagree with me. That is a good point but how about you guys take your own advice eh?

If you disagree with me and think this whole gfwl thing is so God awful then simply make a choice and don't buy the game. There is no need for you to insult the devs by creating a childish petition and in that same process add to the stigma of PC gamers being elitists.

I just think devs now days have to feel like they can't win with our crowd. A small minority of PC gamers whine over each and every little thing a gaming company does. They of course do it very vocally and it's damn near impossible not to hear the screams.

Honestly I can say that in a way I hope they decide to put a middle finger up to all of you and simply scrap the game. Yeah it would suck to not have a great game come to the PC but you know what? Release Dark Souls PC Edition without Games for Windows Live

GFWL is unpopular, difficult to use, inconvenient, has terrible online support (a key feature in Dark Souls), and is downright unpleasant. After anxiously awaiting a PC release for this fantastic game it feels like a real slap in the face hearing Dark Souls will use Games for Windows Live. We recommend Valve's Steamworks in place, as this DRM is much easier to use, less intrusive, more reliable, and more accepted among PC gamers. Please reconsider the use of GFWL, or offer the game on both services. Thank you for taking the effort to port this game, but for a lot of customers it's Steam or no sale.

I'm not even a gamer and I hate GFWL. The only game I play, DiRT3, made me sign up on that. I didn't play it for a couple months and when I go back to play it, GFWL says my account may have been compromised and that I can't play my game. Excuse me? So YOU mishandle a bunch of people's account information and now I'M not allowed to play MY game?

Who comes up with this stuff?

Say what you want but if that's not childish then I don't know what is. What more do you freaking want? You petitioned and they are going to create a game for you. Now that isn't good enough and even though you made them feel great by petitioning for their awesome game you now turn around and say it feels like they are slapping you in the face and that you won't buy the game.

Grow up. Simply don't purchase the game children. No one needs you creating yet another petition (seriously this is like running home and crying to your mother b/c johnny down the street hurt your feelings) all b/c things aren't 100% how you wanted them.

Not to mention that Steam does not eliminate GFWL.

I have F1 2011 on Steam and it still requires GFWL for online so really, all this "Steam or no buy" is a load of rubbish from the usual suspects/herd of sheep.
