Fresh OS after optimization. Newest drivers from intel.
And my PSU is making high pitch noises during AS SSD bench. Maybe because I have SSD, HDD and DVD on one rail (to avoid cable mess in case), dunno.

Hey guys I have a vertex 4 128gb 1.5 firmware. with AS SSD my read and write acc times are 0.118 and 0.026 respectivly. Are these normal I see some people have lower read acc time, about half the 0.118 I get. or is that just how the 128 is?

I just set up two Vertex 4's in RAID 0 on my Rampage III Extreme. i have a moded bios with the new intel ORom.
I am useing
Intel ROM 11.5.0.1582
Intel driver 11.5.0.1207

These enable TRIM in raid 0. it has be testes by a member on bios mods. If any one has a RIIIE and wants to breath new life into their computer with a vertex 4 get the new bios to go with it and get even more performance.

I love the ssds. they are so fast!!

Just got my first SSD. It's a 128gb vertex 4. Here are some test results:
plug and play

after ahci enabled

after second update(forgot to power cycle)

after firmware update 1.5

Does it seem normal to you? I have yet to update the SATA drive because I have no idea what exactly it is. Am I supposed to go to my motherboard manufacturer's site or intel chipset something? THank you!

Download and install this http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/21592/eng/STOR_Win7_8_11.5.0.1207_PV.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=21592
Ignore the bit about Intel boards, it works on others inc my MSI P67 board.

Hello, I have my vertex 4 128gb as OS/software drive. I plan to install some games in it. What do you think is the ideal free space in terms of performance and health/stress on the drive? thank you
