Got it installed last night. Trying out Win 8 preview on it until I can buy a release copy in a few months.

First install of windows went fine, but when checking for new mobo drivers I saw there was a new firmware update. Installed it but then Windows gave me a sad face error message on restart and wouldn't boot. Went though the recovery which was a fresh install basically. And this time it was moving sooo slow. I was pulling out my hair trying to figure out the problem. Turned out that the bios update switched my hard drive setting back to IDE from AHCI and that's why windows wouldn't load. When it recovered/reinstalled it reinstalled with the IDE drivers. So I had to format and reinstall again with AHCI enabled.

This look ok?

Fill the drive as much as you want.Even if the drive is 90-95 percent full,it will perform the same.Of course you will have to let it idle for 1-2 hours (garbage collection) in order to regain its initial speed thumb.gif

could be due to any or all of the following:
  1. 5.150 Ghz OC on a 3770K. 2133 cas 9 Mem Frequency with 4 dimms interleaving on dual channel probably don't hurt.
  2. few or no competing processes running during the bench, especially I/O processes.
  3. fresh secure erase before the run (or long enough idle GC).

I've actually seen better single drive 4ks (around 149 MB/s) but haven't seen better total score yet though I'm sure they'll come.

PS: got improved Raid0 score for spare drive:

Been looking to buy one. Had reservations due to some articles about ocz's reliability. Everyone here seems to have good results. Anybody have to RMA and deal with warranty issues yet? Another word, how are ocz to deal with on warranties? Thanks.

Can I join the club?
Here are my results with two different drivers:

amd sata drivers:

Windows 7 default drivers:

Which one to keep running?
Write speeds (especially 4K-64Thrd) seems to be low on both...
Any thoughts?

does anyone want to take over updating this thread? I don't really have much time anymore except on weekends. Let me know and I'll ask Sean Webster to change it over.
