I have a Z77 board, 3570k @ 4.5ghz+, the newest drivers etc. so I think that side of things is taken care of. This was on a fresh win7 install as well.

Using Asus P8Z68v pro/Gen3 2500k @ 4.5ghz, Latest drivers, fresh install of win 7 on new drives, no antivirus etc. drive partitioned to 80gb (OS) remaining space as a games/play drive.
Wondering why others are getting better 4k results too,

Interface = 10.6.0.1002
Driver /Raid option rom = 10.8.0.1303

Updated to Intel 11.5 from there site, control center and drivers, tested against 2nd partition (D:) still not getting the 4k speeds, has this something to do with stripe size in the array / format block sizes? unsure as to why, tried several different drivers now.

You may be able to get better benches out of it if you run prim 95 on a thread when benching.

ftp://mersenne.org/gimps/p95v277.win64.zip

run it > change to custom > change # of torture test threads to 1 or 2 > start

Then open AS SSD and bench the drive.

It cancels out any power saving features which can affect SSD benches.

Also, anything on why in RAID 0 as benches usually show scaling of ~800MB/s reads rather 1GB/s? Is there a certain strip size to use with the V4? The Intel z77/z68 chipset/driver? Or maybe just some people's benches are shown with Intel speed step and other power saving features enabled thus showing lower speeds?

Can't comment on time it takes...sorry

raid 0 scaling, we feel this is more the sata controller on the motherboard than the Ev2 chipset, i will ask we look into it to see if we can throw more light on it.

on the whole do you all understand how the drive works etc?...a few on the ocz forum did not get it to begin with..i think its best described as a refreshable burst mode myself smile.gif
Im limited to how deep i can go into the tweaks etc but the review on Toms was a good read and while i can not agree or deny if its bang on the money its worth your time at least.
Vector, hopefully i will see a drive soon, i have some preliminary benches and its a VERY good start point to work from...we have teams working flat out to have it ready asap and i will pop by to give you a heads up on when embargo's will lift etc.
Let me know if you need any help, i can drag a support rep here if needed (they can access and create RMA etc where i can not) , overall though I prefer to see support on the oczforum and a little more lightweight help and banter on 3rd party forums wink.gif
Tony
PS I will only post benches etc if requested, im not here to pimp, just to join in and help where requested.

Thanks for the info on the Vector and any future info on it thumb.gif.

Wel, you can make a system image of of your drive. Then once backed up you can update with the linux live CD they have. Then once updated restore the system image you made before.

I use acronis true image as WD or Seagate edition b/c they are free if you have one o their drives. There are also many more options. Some more here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1227835/how-to-disk-and-partition-cloning-backup-restoration-migration
