Hey guys,

I just joined your club and wanted to share the benchmark of my Vertex 128gb (Firmware 1.5)
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with 16gb ram.
I haven't really compared my score with other users, so I'm not sure if it that great.

Feel free to leave comments :-)

I know this isn't optimal performance. I gotta go in and change some settings but I'm just having fun. Picked up 2x VTX4-25SAT3-512G.M

From what I hear the 512G.M doesn't perform as well as the 512gb drives without, but neverless I rather have 1 large SSD than multiple in raid 0 so one is going to be popped into a laptop.

Got my 256GB Vertex 4 up and running with a clean build of Windows 7 (Which I'll be replacing with Win 8 Pro tonight or tomorrow tongue.gif). The results are great for a mobile system smile.gif

Specs:

HP Envy m4-1015dx
Core i7 3632QM
8GB DDR3-1600 CL11
256GB Vertex 4

This laptop gets to the log-in screen within 10 seconds of pressing the power button tongue.gif

change your storage bios setting to AHCI and you will get +300 points.. you are running it in IDE mode which is slow. Theres also a registry tweak you can find online if you cant find the option in bios.

Thanks yeah, apparently on the old nForce boards (my asus m2n) AHCI is bugged. I have tried several different SATA ports including the jmicron raid port and different sata drivers. I even initialized a one disk RAID and still its in IDE mode. Its definitely set to run in AHCI in BIOS. Guess Ill have to find a new motherboard at some point.

Add me in. I bought it on black Friday but haven't actually gotten around to installing it yet between work and finals. I'm still on SATA II so I won't get the full speed out of it but it should still be a nice improvement. I'm waiting for the next generation of components to upgrade my motherboard/cpu/video card. Also I'll finally be back to Windows 7 on here biggrin.gif Windows 8 is okay, but I'd much rather have 7 on here.
