Hi all,

I am about to build my dad a computer and saw a bundle deal at Microcenter AMD 960T with the boards on the thread titles.

I am a bit curious which board is better?
In terms of overclocking, It wont be pushed too much, but I will definitely overclock it.

Thank you!

970A-UD3 FTW. 8+2 power phasing so it can handle overclocking loads and it runs just like it's big brothers from the 990FXA series.

Bios are exactly the same and the only down side that differs the 2 is that it doesn't have SLI and Crossfire operates at x16/x4 vs x16/x16.

In a single card setup you wouldn't notice the difference beween a GA-970A-UD3 and a GA-990FXA-UD3/UD5/UD7

Believe me, I have both the 970A and the 990FXA-UD3.

Yes. On all the new version boards including the 970A-UD3. This is known as LLC or Load Line Calibration.
