Question about Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW dual monitor setup.

Thread Starter
So I have a dual monitor setup, 2 Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW monitors. My right monitor has more a blue tint than my other monitor and all of the settings within the monitor preferences are identical except for 2 which is says can't be changed so I'm curious how/why they are different if I can't change them and if there is any simple fix for this. On one in the "Information" tab on the menu, one says 64.6kHz 60Hz PN, the other monitor is the same except it says NN. The other difference is in the "Image" tab on the menu, Coarse on the one that's more of a blue tint is 1840, the other monitor is 1688 but says it can't be changed. Any help much appreciated and let me know if there is anything more I can fill you in on that will help! thumb.gif

even 2 monitors of the same model may have slight variations. that is normal.
that's why we have a mult-million dollar monitor calibration industry.

either tune them to best of your abilities to make them more similar with your naked eye. or buy a monitor calibration tool.

I bought a pair of these 2253BW too 5 years ago (and still use them).

There's not much difference between them in term of colors, but their problem is that they've a pretty bad factory color calibration as you can see in this review:
http://www.digitalversus.com/lcd-monitor/samsung-syncmaster-2253bw-p3752/test.html

To fix this horrible blue tint you'll either need to use a monitor calibration tool (best) or apply an already made ICC profile to your monitors.
I use this profile with my 2253bw monitors:

How to use this file ?

- use windows color settings using this tutorial (I find it tricky tongue.gif)

or

- use a tool I made which is way simpler and works better with fullscreen 3D applications such as games wink.gif

Hope this helps...
