it was running at 100 because he was SLIing them. Not enough room for air movement between 2 dual slot cards. They are not as hot if you run 1.

But do as you wish. smile.gif

Hmmm...bummer..

So this one might not work either?

I was going to suggest running two in SLI.

Consider this one then http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125412

Price on Zotac 550 is good for one card only since the rebate is good for one billing address. But the code works on that. Actually I the 550 deal is better than 460 even in SLI.

My 480's have never hit 100c. I also have only had them a month, but I do keep an eye on my temps quite a bit. Yes they run hot. But bang for the buck right now you can't beat 'em! I picked up two for less than $450 last month. The only thing they have trouble running is ubersampling on witcher 2. Idle my temps are 50 and 60 on the cards, load so far has been around 70 and 80 I think. And ramping the fan speed up to 75% is actually pretty bearable on the noise.

^this. plus since alot of members just bought brand new 480s at about $220 (after taxes and stuff) you can probably find people willing to sell them and they are barely a month old
