Thanks, i'll see if i can get the time to do some 1.55 tests.

Put a standard air cooler on it and get us some max air clocks. THAT is useful info. LN2 benchmarks mean absolutely nothing to anybody.
edit: I don't mean to come off as a dick... but if you get us some max air clocks you'll be the first person to do so. I'm sick of everybody getting these ES chips or early chips and just doing LN2.
As many ppl said maybe useless to you, but there are a number of ppl here and on another forum that is interested in this things. Alsopuncher
is doing tests with a prolimatech megahalem so see his posts for air runs (Atm 4.5Ghz was max for him)
I can try to coop with puncher and get him to report his temps and results to me and i'll put them in the first post.

Have updated the first post
with some benchmarks, will run SB tomorrow or Saturday and do a comparison.
CPU-Z 1.60.1 beta should show the revision correctly. http://www.cpuid.com/medias/files/softwares/betas/cpu-z_1.60.1-setup-en.zip
The revision is E1 anyway. Stepping 8 = E0 and Stepping 9 = E1, which is the retail stepping.
Thanks will update to that later today.

I have a litle clue, used to bench on the MIIF before, and has another buy helping me that is pretty used to LN2 runs and benching on Asus Max boards, but any help is welcome, if you could write a litle post about the different things to look at i'll be happy to test that out.

OP are you going to upload the scores of the 2500k ?? Would be good to compare ya know.....
Yes i'll do that later today, i still have some runs to do with the IB @ stock, and then i'll do my 2600k (HT OFF) tests.

Could be but numbers from quite a lot of sources point towards the same, and this are all retail chips only 2 weeks before the launch.
Numbers could change a bit with bios updates, revisions etc but i doubt they change much.
Off to work guys, will check inn later today with some more benchmarks.
Also please be patient, this is just a hobby for me and i love testing new hardware, but first of all i'm taking a fulltime bachelor degree, working 50% on the side, so i don't have all that much time left. LN2 runs will be later this weekend or next week.Edited by Eggy88 - 4/13/12 at 4:48am
