Testing has started. Are there any test that ppl want me to run? As it is now i'm thinking of the following test:

3dMark 11
3dMark Vantage
3dMark 05

CineBench

SuperPi
Wprime 32m

I'm thinking of doing 3 runs per benchmark to get an average and testing @ stock, 4.5Ghz and then maybe somewhere around 5Ghz.

Let me know what you think and i'll do my best, i'll have a lot of work ahead of me.

Cool, as it is now i im running 4.5Ghz, @ 1.3v but that is no where near optimal, i just want to have something that is sable. Load temps maxes out @ 36c (dual 360 radiator in 10c ambient)

That list looks like a good place to start! Maybe throw in a encoding benchmark, handbrake or other?

We really appreciate you doing this.

p.s. at "stock" runs, do you think it would be good to clock the 2600k up 100mhz so its a clock-clock comparison?

Handbrake added.
yea stock will be 3.4Ghz vs 3.4Ghz so all benchmarks will be Clock vs clock comparisons.

I'll also see how it clocks, the clock for clock performance of IB vs SB is not that interesting, it's not much difference, but the overclocking on the IB is what i'm waiting to see.

From what I understand about the OC thing is that it will not do much better than SB chips. Being that it is a thinner slice of silicon it will be more susceptible to degradation from heat. My guess is that it does similar to SB overclocking just at better temps.

yeah that is the tricky part here. i want to see how far i can push it on chilled water and so on, but not really sure how much voltage i want to give this chip at least not untill i have it on LN2.
