More Ivy Bridge benchmarks - Sandybridge comparison - 3770K vs 2600K (Performance, temps etc) "Couple Of LN2 scores are up" - Page 28

And my plan is first H70 than H100 for 3770k but with this I will easy forget on EVGA Z77FTW and wait Haswell. Second 22nm in different socket will be better. And you after fail clarify people what is tick and what is tock, now.
Before 2 months story was different. Now like with AMD old HW will be sudennly best options.
This Z77 is Intel's AM3+, no revision, nothing, first and last Ivy Bridge. People who want HW for 3 years need something better and worth money like combination GK110 and Ivy like we expect.
This GTX680 renamed mid and this CPU is not worth for 3 years upgrade. This whole year is cheating people and robbery and everything because AMD is weak. Now I understand why is strong AMD important, less than year after AMD fail Intel will make big fail. NVIDIA 500e mid range chip because NVIDIA think thats enough with some kind of boost and stupid things and IB worse than SB because Intel no competition. Z77 mean nothing without IB because no revision and this way how Intel use more money except Gen 3 Z68.
I hope Phenom II will hang me until Haswell.
Intel-NVIDA alone on world, they will fck people in brain for 2000$
Now I was ready to upgrade on Intel-NVIDA but now... Maybe in future when they have better products than 2 years old HW with 8 years USB 2.0 and SATA 3Gbps and PCI-E 2. and renamed chip for straining 150$/150e more per chip.
Some people talk about revision IB, forget about that, that will not happen.

Maybe not the best thread for this discussion but i think he has a point... Especially considering Nvidia GPU-s. GTX 680 is actually GTX 660... The real 680 was just too strong for market right now so Nvidia just renamed and sells the card at twice the price it should actually cost...

But back to CPU-s; I can't wait for those thermal tests! Hurry up man! tongue.gif

Not yet, just finished testing 1.1v, 1.2v and 1.3v on SB and IB and its close to 3AM here now so need to go to bed.

Thermal testing is coming along great, i have the data from the test, just need to find a way to make it look nice.

I'll be very curious to see the thermal temperatures. I just today purchased a Z77 board with a 2500k processor. I'm hoping that Ivy Bridge processors will bring a big enough improvement with PCI-Express 3.0 so that down the line I may want to upgrade. Of course, overclocking is important as well. I should have realized that the "tock" with Intel's processors almost always seems to bring bigger performance gains. I'm glad I waited though for the Z77 because it appears to really benefit Sandy Bridge and hopefully Ivy Bridge as well.

Maybe if u can u should wait for the GTX 685 with more memory and maybe a slightly (or much) better chip... It's up to you.

from the moment nothing is officially.i am pretty sure nvidia have a bigger chip the gk110.but is all about marketing and shedule.i dont believe that gk110 was ready not because of not working well but because of their shedule.like the 8000 series of amd.the have already investigate in the next generation.like intel.look at their entire shedule.maybe gtx 680 was a gtx 670 with a litle lower clocks and and some shaders lock.nvidia overclock the gtx pretty high.thats why you dont gain a lot from the water cooling in this card.i dont know but i am pretty happy that both companies at this generations is so close and i more then please with 7970.pretty good a single card beat a 6990 biggrin.gif
