Got the two 3770K's today, waiting for me at home, will head over to a fellow Norwegian tomorrow and test the two + the 3570K on LN2 (He is having one of the 3770K's)

Untill then not much is happening, might do some comparisson on the wattage of the 3570K and the 2600K HT off tonight but i doubt it. Most likely new results are up on Sunday.

I understand, but still, it is a giant move in the right direction between Hardware and Software acceleration. With a Z77 Board, and a 560Ti and a 3770k I expect really good increases with vMVP.

Any news on TCASE on these chips?

I see peeps saying that IB is handling heat better than SB but I can't seem to find any specs about TCASE and TMAX for IB. If they r the same or less that would mean IB is not handling heat better than SB.
And I fear they could be lower than those of SB...

U r missing the point here... u will not be able to get more Frames/s with MVP... It s not like u get SLI or cross fire when u enable MVP.

What MVP does is turning ur iGPU into a buffer for discrete GPU which is doing all the work. It s all about refresh rate of ur monitor and power of your GPU. MVP is actually "just" syncronizing them to work at same rate.

1. iGPU in essence is not letting any unfinished frames to be shown on screen so there is no tearing and stuff that u can see. (discrete GPU works at full load)

2. i GPU is telling real GPU what frames to render and than buffers them till it s time to show them on screen. (discrete GPU works at less load = less heat, noise and power consumption)

In any case u need to have 60 FPS already to have any benefits of MVP.

Thats what i understood MVP is...

this ! really useful ,,, im confused about buy 2500k or 3570k..

but with this thread, very information currently search around the google. n1 job.

3570k
pros:
- pciex 3.0
- performance gain about ~5% from SB in most cases
- less power consumption

cons:
- more heat
- little performance gain.

2500k
pros:
- performance still barely same as IB
- less heat
- overclocking in ~GHZ more high than IB
- maybe the price will cut

cons:
- no pciex 3.0 support

cmiiw..

but what u think guys, should i go 3570k or 2500k ? its all for gaming purpose ...
sorry for my bad eng.
