I would assume the Phoebus would drop in price by or during Sept, Oct, Nov.

As it uses all soldered op-amps and has no need to the PCI/PCI Express bridge chip, I'm guessing it's cheaper to manufacturer then the STX.

only 1/4 of mobos right now have pci,so I think yes, the bridge was needed.
