Whichever has the games that appeal you the most.

As for me? Get the 3DS. The 3D experience, along with the extremely good games that Nintendo themselves release, and the quasi-symbiotic implementation of the touchscreen makes a much better gaming experience IMO.

If 'OMG dat graphics' is what you look for in a handheld, the Vita does that better. The 3DS is very good, but the Vita is better in that aspect. Due to the larger screen and the no-need to render 3D graphics.

In the games side, Nintendo does... well, Nintendo-style games. If you like those, get the 3DS.

Sony caters a much more 'serious', or 'adult' audience. If those are your games, get a Vita.

None of them will fail to impress, rest assured.

3ds graphics are crap. the 3d is cheesy, implemented decently at best and gets old quite fast. If you feel like playing mario and zelda as every game for the next 2 years with subpar graphics and overpriced games/hardware then yea, go for the 3ds. if you want wifi/ad hoc online gaming, social media and a full gaming/multimedia experience thenget the ps vita....ok maybe i hyped it a little much, but the vita is awesome. i played it and now i cant wait to get one. Uncharted on the vita is fun, reminds me of uncharted 1 on the ps3. If they make games such as madden, killzone, resistance for the vita then id expect it to be mobile monster.

My 3ds is pretty swell but it all depends on what games you play;

If you're a hardcore "ZOMFG L00k at dat sikk gwafics" gamer and like more adult serious titles I suggest the PSVITA.
If you're more of a fun casual gamer that likes the awesome nintendo exclusives and don't mind crappy graphics (compared to the vita) do for the 3ds. The 3ds also has 3d cameras and full 3d gaming, as long as you don't suffer from migraines and stay at a certain distance at all times. thumb.gif

I vote vita because it has Uncharted and I'm a huge fan of the series. Plus if we look at PSP it had 2 God of Wars games, GTA and some other great titles, so most likely the Vita will get those eventually as well.

3DS is more of Nintendo's "gimmick-marketing" imo, they put 3D with no glasses and seem to make that the main selling point, personally that doesn't do it for me. But if you think its really neat then maybe the 3DS is your cup of tea. (Just a note, I'm not trying to flame 3DS or owners of it, its just not my preference but if you like it then I'm glad for you smile.gif

I would advise you to hold off, at least a little while, if you decide on the Vita because it's sales haven't been very strong. I get the feeling it will receive a price drop much like the 3DS did last year.

I borrowed my Brothers 3DS and I really liked the features a lot. I haven't used the Vita but it is so expensive I'm probably going to get the 3DS I will wait and see for a Price drop though. Thanks for the insite!

I'm planning to get Vita next month.

If you have a PS3 and a PSN account, you'll have to get a Vita someday. Remote Play and trophies. Not to mention crossplatform play between the consoles. And when PS4 comes out...
post #10 of 20
I'm planning on getting a vita, the 3d on the 3ds seems gimmicky and is very limited in function and because of the strict viewing angle required.
